How To Get Rid Of Dark Circles

Dark circles under the lower eyes  are common in both men and women. Often  dark circles can make you appear older than you are.  Although it can affect anyone, dark circles are the most common in people who  are seniors be hereditary because in this condition are non-white ethnic groups (darker than skin color are more prone to hyperpigmentation around the eye area). There are number of factors for dark circles. Most common causes for dark circles are listed below.

1-Eye Strain

Staring at tv or computer can cause considerable strain on your eyes. This pressure can cause the blood vessels around your eyes to enlarge. As a result, can darken the skin around your eyes.

2-Sun  Overexposure

Overexposure to sun can cause the body to generate an excess of  malenin. Malenin is a pigment that provide color to your skin. Long time in sun is harmful specially for your eyes because it can cause pigmentation around eyes and skin ultimately darken.


Drought is a common cause of dark circles under your eyes. When your body does not receive the right amount of water, the skin under your eyes look dull and sunken eyes look.


When you have an allergic reaction, your body release histamine in response to harmful bacteria. It cause an uncomfortable symptoms, including itching and redness puffy eyes  and histamine also cause your blood vessels expand and become more visible under the skin. You can also increase your sensitivity desire to rub and scratch itchy skin around your eyes. These actions could worsen your symptoms, causing inflammation, swelling, and broken blood vessels. This can result in dark shadows under your eyes.

Home remedies for dark circles

1-Rose Water

Rose water is another natural ingredient which is extremely useful in removing dark circles completely.

How To Use:

Soak 2 cotton pads in rosewater and place it in the freezer for 5 minutes. Now place these cotton pads over your eyes closed and chilled relax for 15 minutes. Use this method daily


Cucumber  is  best to get rid of dark circles overnight. Mix a teaspoon of Aloe Vera gel in cucumber juice and  put the juice in the refrigerator for 15 minutes. Now take the chilled cucumber and Aloe Vera juice and use your fingers to gently apply to the dark circles. Leave it overnight. Aloe Vera moisturizes the under eye area and vanish the dark circles. Make it your daily routene for better results.

3- Almond oil

Homemade eye cream is cheap and effective way to remove thedark circles  quickly. Mix a teaspoon of  almond oil and vitamin E oil and mix in  spoon of  cream milk. Use cream softly around your eyes. It enhances blood circulation to the eyes, dark circles and under eye bags.

  1. Lemon Juice

Here’s an instant remedy to remove dark circles  and relax tired eyes. Take half a cup of cold water, and add the lemon juice squeezed 1/2. Pour lemon water in ice cube trays and freeze. Take an ice cube and rub around your eyes for two minutes. You can also rub it on your face for an update and glowing skin.
